Antenna Hungária Group received the necessary radio licences for an almost threefold increase in the maximum Effective Radiated Power (ERP) of the digital terrestrial television transmission from the Budapest Száva street transmission site after executing the antenna system extension works. As a result of this increase, the reception conditions of MinDig TV and MinDig TV Extra services will grow further in certain areas of the inner parts of Budapest.
National Media and Infocommunications Authority issued the necessary radio licences for the increased power of the Multiplex A and C – channel 55 and 62 – at the Budapest Száva street transmission site.
By having the issued radio licences Antenna Hungária will execute the extention works of the antenna and transmission system on August 10, 2011 between 8.00 AM and 5.00 PM. This allows to increase the maximum Effective Radiated Power (ERP) of the Multiplex A from 2.42 kW to 7.08 kW, the Multiplex C from 2.36 kW to 6.76 kW from the Száva street site.
Due to the extention works, full stoppage in the transmission is expected from 8.00 AM on that date until the works completed – no later than 5.00 PM – in the Száva street coverage zone (mostly on the Pest side: city center, South-Pest)
As a result of this increase, the reception conditions of MinDig TV and MinDig TV Extra services will grow further in certain parts of V, VI, VII, VIII, IX and XI districts.
