Power increase of the digital terrestrial television transmission in the Budapest area

Antenna Hungária Group received the necessary radio licence this week so as to increase the maximum Effective Radiated Power (ERP) of Multiplex C from 39.8 kW to 50.1 kW from its Széchenyi-hegy transmission site. The power increase will take place today afternoon.

National Media and Infocommunications Authority issued the necessary radio licence for the Multiplex C – channel 62 – of the Budapest, Széchenyi-hegy transmission site in this week. According to the issued radio licence, Antenna Hungária will increase the maximum Effective Radiated Power (ERP) of Multiplex C from 39.8 kW to 50.1 kW from its Széchenyi-hegy transmission site today afternoon.

As a result of this increase, the reception conditions of Multiplex C – transmitted on the 802 MHz frequency – will grow further in certain areas. Regarding Multiplex A – channel 55 – Antenna Hungária transmits the signal at maximum power permitted by the international coordination, resulting no further power increase presently for this multiplex.
