Antenna Hungária launched the digital terrestrial television (DVB-T) transmission from the Karancs peak as of today, enabling the reception of the free-of-charge MinDig TV and the subscription-based MinDig TV Extra services for the vast majority of Nógrád county. The population coverage of the DVB-T network increased to more than 95 percent.

Today Antenna Hungária successfully launched the digital terrestrial television transmission from the Karancs peak, near to the Nógrád county’s capital city. With the installation of its 30th digital site, the population coverage of the DVB-T network increased to more than 95 percent. This expansion enables the reception of the free-of-charge MinDig TV and the subscription-based MinDig TV Extra services for the vast majority of Nógrád county, the digital television services could be received on channel 55 and 62.

According to the issued radio licences, the maximum Effective Radiated Power (ERP) is 15.1 kW on the Multiplex ’A’ and 17.4 kW regarding the Multiplex ’C’. The new transmitter is operated in SFN (Single Frequency Network) mode with the three Budapest and Salgótarján transmitting stations. In order to ensure the best utilization of the frequency range, the programs are available on the same frequencies from all of the above mentioned sites (746 and 802 MHz).
