Chello Central Europe has decided that after the termination of Animax as of April 1, 2014 – which channel was broadcasted after the transmission time of Minimax – the company will fill in this evening program grid. The program name will be C8, it will be broadcasted every day and starts at 8:00 PM. Based on the agreement between Antenna Hungária and Chello Central Europe, the new channel will also be included into the MinDig TV line-up from the very first day.
The broadcasting time of C8 channel will be between 8.00 and 12:00 PM, the program flow will be updated regularly and is intended to provide teaser programs from the Chello portfolio. The teaser content selection of 8 channels provides an insight into the sports, children, film, lifestyle and science channel offers with the aim to give a feel of packages including thematic programs. The broadcasting time of C8 is four hours, will be available between 8:00 and 12:00 PM every day after Minimax, which is broadcasted between 6:00 AM and 8:00 PM.
Based on the agreement between Antenna Hungária and Chello Central Europe, as of April 1, 2014, C8 channel will be included into the line-up of the digital terrestrial MinDig TV, the service used by around 700-800 thousand households. Thus, the free-to-air offer of the digital terrestrial service will be expanded to eight television channels. Additional 26 programs – including also Minimax, Spektrum, Sport 1 and Sport 2 – are available through the subscription-based MinDig TV Extra service.
